Crazy Maze Days Harvest Romp
Hay there! This autumn expedition focuses on Southern Maryland's fun farm mazes, hayrides and pumpkin patches. The following farms offer kid-friendly fall fun: Montpelier Farms in Upper Marlboro, Middleton's Cedar Hill Farm in Waldorf, Zekiah Farms, LLC in Waldorf, Serenity Farm, Inc. in Benedict, A Maze N Place, LLC/Bowles Farms in Clements, Forrest Hall Farm and Orchards in Mechanicsville. To give this trip an extra twist, assemble some prize packages (how about handheld puzzle games or books with puzzles or mazes?) to distribute to those who conquer the mazes, to those who learned the most about farms (there will be a quiz!) or those who carve the coolest jack-o'-lantern. Mom, if you're not a die-hard "mazer," you can always tell the kids to "get lost" (in the maze, of course!) while you browse the a-maze-ing assortment of harvest foods and decorations (mums, gourds, baskets of apples, etc.) you'll find at these farms.
