Imaginative Itineraries

Llamas and Bisons and Sheeps, Oh My!

Have we got a Trails trek for "ewe!" The little ones will love this wild, woolly (and sometimes smelly!) rollick straight out of the alphabet book: "A is for alpacas, B is for bison..." and so on. Choose from these farms along the Trails that feature animals: Southern Comfort Berry Farm (spring only), Middleton's Cedar Hill Farm in Waldorf, Zekiah Farms, LLC in Waldorf, Serenity Farm, Inc. in Benedict, A Maze N Place, LLC/Bowles Farm in Clements, Allen's Heirloom Homestead in Park Hall, Summerseat Farm and Sanctuary and Forrest Hall Farm and Orchards in Mechanicsville.

A northern version of this trip could include a few of these farms: Old Maryland Farm in Upper Marlboro, Queen Anne Farm in Bowie, Montpelier Farms, LLC and Merkle Wildlife Sanctuary in Upper Marlboro (which has a Discovery Room with live turtles, frogs and snakes), Piscataway Park in Accokeek (home of the National Colonial Farm) and Clearwater Nature Center in Clinton (which has an aviary with a resident bald eagle).
